Originally from Melbourne and now based in Cairns, Australia, Dave began drumming at the age of 10. While his roots lie in metal and rock, his versatility spans a wide range of contemporary styles, blending a passion for deep groove, odd phrasing, improvisation, and complex compositions.

Dave balances his time between education, performing and session work – running his own drum school, driving the rhythmic force behind progressive metal act Darkshore, and offering session recording to a variety of musical projects.

Forming a close relationship with Rech Cymbals, Dave has contributed to the development of several cymbal lines, including the Inferno Synergy, Raw, and Sand series.
